Have you heard of the Obamacare “Snookie tax?” How about the “Cadillac tax?” Florida House Speaker Will Weatherford reported on these and more on Friday’s “Fox and Friends.”
The state representative told co-host Brian Kilmeade that “Obamacare is the largest tax increase on the American people.”
As an example, he brought up taxes on so-called “Cadillac plans.”
“If your employer gives you a really good [health] plan, if it’s too god, we’re going to make you pay 40 percent on the dollar in taxes,” he said.
As a result, “now the unions are freaking out.”
He also pointed out that Flexible Savings Accounts, used to set money aside for extraordinary medical expenses, now have a cap. Anything above the new $2,500 cap is taxed as ordinary income, placing a burden on families with special needs children.
