Dogged reporter confronts Petraeus’ angry mob organizer

Bill O’Reilly sidekick Jesse Watters confronted a college professor for organizing a “disgusting and despicable” protest against City University of New York’s newest faculty member, Gen. David Petraeus.

Just like Benghazi, it turns out that the barrage of venomous verbal abuse directed at Petraeus as he attempted to make his way to his first class last week was not a “spontaneous demonstration,” but a well-planned, well-executed attack organized by leftist organizations.

It turns out that one of the demonstrators and organizers wasn’t a student at all — it was Sandor John, an adjunct professor of Latin American history at the City University of New York’s Hunter College.

John called Petraeus a “death squad organizer and somebody who organized drone attacks.”

Watters, who appeared with John on Monday’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” challenged him on that allegation.

“David Petraeus dedicated his entire life to keeping you safe and protecting your freedoms,” Watters said. “How do you live with yourself?”

John said his family members served in the military and didn’t dedicate “their careers to exterminating villages or creating torture camps.”

Lawyers would call that answer “assuming facts not in evidence.”

Watters asked John if he thought it was OK to “sic a wild angry mob of students on a decorated war veteran,” adding, “You organized a protest that was disgusting and despicable,”
