Liberal host spews vulgar message to Dana Perino

Do you have to talk like a 15-year-old punk to host a show called “The Young Turks?”

It’s a fair question after a vulgar, sophomoric rant Monday by itinerant progressive commentator Cenk Uygur, late of Current TV and MSNBC and now a host on “The Young Turks” web-only news network.

cenkuygurUygur was responding to a comment last week by former Bush White House spokeswoman Dana Perino on Fox’s “The Five.” Discussing a Massachusetts lawsuit by atheist parents who say the Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional because it includes the words “under God,” Perino pointed out the obvious.

“I’m tired of them,” she said. “If these people really don’t like it, they don’t have to live here. Plus, if you don’t believe, then why do you care?”

Most people – believers or atheists – wouldn’t bat an eye.

Most people, though, aren’t a second-rate progressive commentator trading on the accident of ethnicity to keep a struggling punditry career afloat. Look, when the highlight of your liberal career has been filling in for or getting replaced by Keith Olberman and Al Sharpton, you do what you can. Even teachers pay attention to class clowns.

“Well, Dana, I’m tired of you,” Uygur said, apparently under the impression Perino is a regular web-viewer of “The Young Turks” when she’s not busy being a high-powered editor at Random House or a regular commentator on the top-rated cable network in the country.

“You guys are, like, constantly, ‘Believe in my sky God! Believe in Him!’” Uygur, like, argued. “Yeah, I don’t believe in Him. So why don’t you leave the country?”

Uygur then, like, read part of the First Amendment – because he’s the first liberal who ever thought of doing that in an argument like this – and comes up with a crushing conclusion that must made juvenile progressives cheer everywhere.

“You’re wrong, I’m right,” he said, addressing the no-doubt chastened Perino, “Get the f*** out of the country.”

Actually, most 15-year-olds have better manners than that. Better logic, too.

They haven’t learned to be progressives yet.

Check out the classy Perino, and oafish Uygur here. You’ll feel more mature already.
