Millions of people are about to get quite a message as they crane their necks to look up at the newest billboards at one of the world’s busiest tourist attractions.

The massive, six-story high billboard reading, “Warning: Obamacare may be hazardous to your health,” is going up this week in New York City’s Times Square courtesy of The Heritage Foundation.

The Heritage Foundation’s new president, former U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint, said the billboard is “to inform the American people about the dangerous side-effects of this unfair, unaffordable and unworkable law, and how it can be stopped.”

In an article he wrote for FoxNews.com, DeMint detailed five of Obamacare’s “worst side effects.”

They are, in part:

First, many Americans will lose their current health coverage.

Second, many Americans will lose access to physicians they trust.

Third, ObamaCare places bureaucrats between doctors and patients.

Fourth, ObamaCare dumps millions of patients onto Medicaid—a health program so bad that not even Medicaid patients call it “real insurance.”

Fifth, ObamaCare’s reductions in Medicare spending could undermine the health system for millions of seniors.

“ObamaCare is not just bad for Americans’ physical health—it’s bad for America’s fiscal health as well,” DeMint wrote. “If Congress does not act, on January 1, 2014, Washington will tap a gusher of new federal spending on ObamaCare.”

The foundation asks that concerned Americans tell Congress to defund Obamacare “by the end of September.”

The billboard gives a number to text and Heritage Foundation responds with a link to a must-watch video on the dangers of Obamacare.
