Beck hits back at Scarborough’s ‘highest-paid rodeo clown’ insult

It really is always about money with libs.

Someone else’s money.

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough and blonde sidekick Mika Brzezinski tried to climb up on a high horse of moral outrage Thursday against the Missouri State Fair Obama rodeo clown, but they came down pretty fast when they tried to make the argument about Glenn Beck’s syndicated television program.

glennbeckThey were responding to Beck’s defense on Wednesday of the free-speech issue involved.

“Today, I officially declare myself a rodeo clown,” Beck said. “Today, I officially declare that we are all rodeo clowns.”

That drew predictable faux outrage from Scarborough and the humorless Brzezinski.

“Unbelievable!” Scarborough said, shaking his head, while Brzezinski made suffered through what appeared to be an attack of gas. (Check it out here.)

But then it got down to the real issue.

“He’s the highest-paid rodeo clown in America,” Scarborough said. “I wish I were … They give us coupons.”

“We’re on the edge of getting zero,” Brzezinski.

So, you have to wonder, were they really so outraged at Beck’s defense of free speech (which they probably truly don’t understand anyway) or just the fact that he’s making a lot more money than they are?

On Beck’s program later Thursday, Beck’s own sidekick Pat Gray (not blonde) fired back.

“They can’t believe there are people who don’t think this rodeo clown is a horribly racist, awful idea, that there should be free speech like this,” he said.

But Gray then nailed the real issue — salary envy.

“Listen to the jealousy,” Gray said. “It’s so said.”

Beck agreed.

“It’s sad,” he said. “It really is sad.”
