Ted Cruz gets crowd laughing at Joe Biden’s expense

Funny man U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz laughed along with the crowd after making a funny joke about Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday.

Caffeinated Thoughts published Cruz’s remarks from the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa where the senator spoke on a variety of issues, including the Obama administration’s gun control push after the Newtown tragedy.

Recalling Biden’s ridiculous advice on home protection, Cruz began, “Vice President Joe Biden,” to which the audience just broke into laughter.

“You know the nice thing is that you don’t even need a punch line,” Cruz smiled. “You just say his name and people laugh.”

Cruz then reminded the laughing crowd of Biden’s “helpful advice” during an interview with Parent’s Magazine: Take a “double-barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house” if you need to protect your home.

“Which is very, very good advice,” Cruz said, pausing perfectly for the real punchline: “If it so happens you are being attacked by a flock of geese.”
