RNC launches Benghazi clips campaign to fight Hillary movie

What difference does it make?

We’ll find out.

Preemptively attacking biographies of Hillary Clinton planned by CNN and NBC, the Republican National Committee on Monday started rolling out a series of Clinton “greatest hits” videos to draw attention to what the liberal-leaning networks are likely to leave out.

hillarybenghaziAnd installment No. 1 of “Will the Hillary Films Include …” will be the former secretary of state’s willful obfuscation of history during her testimony about the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012.

At that January hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, less than five months after four Americans, including the Libyan ambassador, died at the hands of Muslim terrorists, Clinton famously declared too much time had passed for those lives to still matter.

“Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they’d they go kill some Americans?” Clinton asked under questioning by U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis. “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

The RNC is hoping it will make a big difference.

“If CNN and NBC are both making productions to promote Hillary Clinton, we have some suggestions for them,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement. “They should first remember to include how she failed to answer basic questions about Benghazi.

“It’s ridiculous that major networks choose to air pro-Hillary productions that could unfairly influence Americans’ political decisions. And I’m not going to permit such networks to moderate Republican debates.”

The video concludes with an appeal to viewers to sign a petition at gop.com to get the networks to call off the projects. That has about as much chance of happening as the video’s appeal to “Stop Media Bias.”

But it’s a start. And God knows there should be enough Hillary video from the past 22 years to make any number of “reminder videos” to help the American people remember who they’re really dealing with. Maybe enough to convince even Democrats that they really don’t need any more Clintons in our national life.

Maybe enough to make a difference after all.
