Heaven help us when the President of the United States utters anything about the Kardashian’s, but he recently criticized Kim and her hubby Kanye West, and Mama Kris Jenner was not at all happy about it.
In an interview with Amazon’s “Kindle Singles,” Obama dissed the celebrity couple for contributing to the corruption of the expectations of the American dream.
“He said that the dream used to involve a good home, a good job, and the possibility of higher education,” the Huffington Post reported. “Growing up today, however, children are exposed to such wealth in the form of celebrities’ lifestyles that everything seems smaller by comparison.”
“Kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success,” Obama said in the interview.
And like a mama bear protecting her cub, Jenner swiped back at the president on her talk show last Friday (who knew she even had a talk show?).
“I wasn’t aware that you could only set the bar so high and that we could only dream so big,” Jenner said Friday of Obama’s remarks. “I was taught: Dream big, work hard and you could have whatever you wanted.”
Jenner took issue with Obama mentioning the couple lived in a 10,000 square foot home: “I think, if I’m not mistaken, Mr. President’s job affords him to live in a 55,000 square foot house.”
Dripping with sarcasm, she continued slamming “Mr. President:”
I bet the President has some friends with 10,000 square foot houses and you probably wouldn’t mind going over there, Mr. President while you were asking them to have a party for you when you were campaigning for dollars to run for president.”
I find it so odd that he’s picking on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Well, Kanye West, first of all, doesn’t go on vacation. Ever,
And Kim Kardashian is the hardest-working young lady in the world. She never sleeps, she never stops, she never slows down and works so hard for what she’s got.
Watch here as Jenner does a decent job of smacking down the president:
