Since Barack Obama’s inauguration, adults have used children to praise the president, which really raises the creep factor among conservatives and stirs images of a modern-day Hitler Youth. But the most recent example of a little kid praying to — not for- Obama has cranked the creep factor through the stratosphere.
Beginning in 2009 with “Mmm Mmm Mmm, Barack Hussein Obama,” we’ve been inundated with praise for the 44th president, all coming from the mouths of babes, which always raises the question of indoctrinating young minds.
A few months later, we heard, “Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say “hooray!”
More outrageously, during the 2012 general election, an ad agency had a group of children sing about a world where “sick people just die, and “oil fills the sea” if Obama isn’t re-elected president.
We’re taught to honor the office of the presidency — not the man. In other words, respect the enormous responsibility we’ve placed on a president’s shoulders, but always keep in mind that he works for us — not the other way around.
Words and songs praising r an individual president runs counter to that notion.
The latest example goes beyond the pale, by suggesting that Obama is a deity. In the following video, a cute little kid is seen praying to the president. As a friend mentioned after seeing this, “kudos to his parents for teaching him to pray from the heart. But, heaven help the little liberals growing up.”
The video was posted Aug 11 on YouTube by Regina Young, together with the following description: “The prayer that he wanted to say for our President is priceless.”
Notwithstanding her description, the child is clearly praYing to the president, and thanking him for the bounty he’s received.
