RNC Chair shoots down testy MSNBC host, Mika

Sorry Mika, no moderating any GOP debate for you – ever.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus shot down any aspirations MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski may have ever had – probably none, but still – to moderate a GOP primary debate.

Brzezinski questioned Priebus Thursday morning about his recent letters to CNN and her parent network, NBC, threatening to ban the networks from holding 2016 Republican primary debates if they went forth airing documentaries on Hillary Clinton, but then she asked why he was speaking to them on MSNBC.

Brzezinski wanted Priebus to agree with her statement:

“My point is, you expected an honest and fair conversation here, even though we’re a part of NBC,” she said. “You understand there’s a difference.”

Yes, there’s a difference Priebus agreed, but then shocked Mika – watch her expression – when he said:

But I’m not going to have you moderate the Republican debates.

[Y]ou’re not actually interested in the future of the Republican Party and our nominees.

That’s not a slam on you, Mika, but I have to choose moderators that are actually interested in the Republican Party and our nominees.

It’s not going to be NBC, if they continue to go forward with this miniseries.
