Scarborough panel says ‘train wreck’ Ted Cruz is just like Taliban

When President Obama “pivoted” to the economy last week — again — he was setting up the narrative for the coming budget battle in Congress. Even though it’s still not August and this battle is a long way off.

Nonetheless, Obama’s allies in the media are on board and doing their part to toe the company line, as we saw Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” show where a panelist compared U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, to the Taliban.

The sin Cruz committed to draw such a shameless attack was to suggest that Congress not fund the implementation of Obamacare.

Running with the scare tactic of a government shut down weeks ahead of any possible action, host Joe Scarborough called Cruz a “total train wreck,” saying he is “attacking anybody who’s not willing to shut down the government over Obamacare.”

Echoing what is now a common theme among the political class — attacking “libertarian” leaning candidates — Tina Brown, editor of the far-left Daily Beast, stated: “Jon Favreau’s written a great piece in the Daily Beast about this whole trend now about not the small government conservative, but the no government conservative. That is what Cruz is a member of. This is the Taliban.”

To summurize, not wanting to fund a government take over of healthcare puts one in the same category as the Taliban. It’s not that difficult to determine who the political class fears most, just follow the media’s lead.
