A Florida woman whose phone number is one digit away from acquitted murder defendant George Zimmerman has been getting death threats in the week since Zimmerman’s trial ended.
Lori Tankel of Winter Park told the television station WFTV the phone calls started minutes after the July 13 decision was announced.
The phone number Zimmerman used to call Seminole County dispatchers before shooting 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was displayed numerous times during the trial while Zimmerman’s calls were reviewed, the station reported. Tankel’s similar number draw the wrong kind of attention.
After the verdict, “my phone just started to blow up,” Tankel said. “Phone call after phone call, multiple phone calls.”
“We’re going to kill you, we’re going to get you. Watch your back,” a typical caller said, according to the report.
She said she contacted the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, but was told there wasn’t much to be done.
“They said they were averaging 400 death threats per minute on social media sites, so what I was getting was just a drop in the bucket,” Tankel told WFTV.
Four-hundred death threats a minute.
Imagine if 400 white-supremacist death threats were taking place in a day. Imagine if any cause that wasn’t approved by the president, the attorney general and the media of this country generated 400 death threats a minute.
But the lib savages can make their threats with impunity. And their cheerleaders in the media and celebrity-dom can’t be held responsible if some disturbed individual goes over the line actually carries out one of these threats.
Like racist director Spike Lee tweeting the incorrect address for George Zimmerman a year ago, and forcing an elderly Sanford, Fla., couple out of their home because of potential violence, the left in this country fills the air with threats of physical violence while accusing the right of doing exactly the same thing, then washes its hands of any bloodshed that follows.
And the media band plays on.
