The number of jokes about Detroit have spiked since the Motor City declared itself bankrupt Thursday, but none are quite as clever as a parody put together by conservative commentator/funny man Steve Crowder called “Pure Detroit.”
Anyone who lives in Florida and, I assume anywhere else outside of the Wolverine State, is familiar with the soft sell “Pure Michigan” travel and tourism ads that always have the tag line, “Your trip begins at Michigan.org.”
Crowder’s parody ends with, “Your trip begins at BarackObama.com.”
