O’Reilly outrage: Media portrays blacks ‘being hunted down by whites’

Bill O’Reilly opened “The O’Reilly Factor” Tuesday with a rant against the mainstream media and the narrative over the George Zimmerman trial, saying the American media is not reporting racial crime accurately.

He agreed with Fox News contributor Bernie Goldberg, who said Monday that the media “paints a picture of white people hunting black people.”

“Here’s an inconvenient fact,” Goldberg said. “Any time there is interracial crime, there’s an overwhelming chance that the victim is going to be white and the criminal is going to be black.”

O’Reilly presented the statistics to back that up that claim. He quoted FBI figures, logged between 1976 and 2005, that show 91 percent of homicides of black Americans were committed by other blacks, while 14 percent of white homicides were committed by African-Americans.

He also noted that the black-on-black murder rate is virtually ignored by the mainstream media, because they don’t want to expose problems in minority precincts.

“No matter what the evidence, no matter what facts are presented, the liberal line will be the same – it’s society’s fault,” O’Reilly said.
