Sadly, retaliation and revenge appear to be the action of choice by some in the black community in response to the outcome of the George Zimmerman trial.
Police in Senatobia, Miss., told Fox News that a man who was jogging late Sunday claims he was abducted along side of a road and beaten by three black men, who said the attack was in retaliation for the death of Trayvon Martin.
Reminiscent of the worst of times in Mississippi some 50 years ago, when civil rights were of little regard, it’s being reported that the alleged victim, a white male, said he was jogging when the suspects pulled over and ordered him to get inside their car.
“One of them asked, ‘Do you know who Trayvon Martin was?’” police chief Steve Holts quoted the man as saying.
The man, who did not want to be identified, says the men drove him miles away in silence before pulling him from their car and attacking him, saying, “I’m fixin to beat your a** for Trayvon,” as local CBS affiliate WREG reported.
In Baltimore, Md., police are also investigating a witness account that a group of black youths beat a Hispanic man while saying, “This is for Trayvon.”
The witness said she saw several young black males and two black females chasing a 37-year-old Hispanic man, who was beaten, kicked and stomped, according to the Baltimore Sun.
“They were just yelling and calling him names as they ran after him, but once they were hitting him and after that they started yelling, “This is for Trayvon, [expletive],” she said.
The group scattered before police arrived and there have been no arrests. The victim sustained abrasions to his arms but refused medical attention.
