Things got crazy between pro gun and anti-gun supporters at a rally in Concord, New Hampshire Tuesday.
Mayor Bloomberg’s gun control group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, sent about 40 protestors, but were outnumbered by 60 or so pro gun supporters outside the Capitol building, the Union Leader reported.
Tensions were high and the shouts were loud, but not as loud as the response when an anti-gun protestor had the audacity to read off Boston bomber terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s name as a victim of gun violence.
“’He’s a terrorist,’ several protesters shouted,” according to the article.
The Union Leader reported:
“I think this is a joke,” said Tony Mayfield of Hillsborough, who brought his AR-15 rifle and Sig Sauer T39 handgun to the rally. “We have, for all intents and purposes, a corporation from out of state doing this little publicity stunt here.”
Rally organizers, whose bus had Texas license plates, refused to speak to a New Hampshire Union Leader reporter and referred him to the organization’s national headquarters.
Concord police were captured on video using a taser on and arresting Daniel Musso who was shouting down an anti-gun protestor.
According to the paper, the police asked Musso, 52, to move and Musso placed “his hand on an officer.” That resulted in Musso being tasered, then arrested.
“Police said Musso was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and two counts of simple assault,” the paper said.
Now, perhaps the police were jumpy with armed protestors in the crowd, but watch the video and see what you think.
