O’Reilly And Krauthammer: Obama’s a ‘bystander to his own presidency’

President Obama’s poor handling of the growing number of scandals drew the ire of both Bill O’Reilly and Charles Krauthammer on Tuesday’s episode of the O’Reilly Factor.

In his “Talking Points Memo” segment, O’Reilly notes that Obama’s job approval rating “is falling faster that [Attorney General] Eric Holder’s credibility,” and that the president’s comments thus far have been “tepid.”

O’Reilly summed up the president’s approach to all the controversy as “banking on Americans “getting tired of all the controversies” and losing interest, so he’s just ignoring them until the country moves on to something else,” as noted by Mediaite.

“This is the new America, where politicians can hide from unpleasant things,” O’Reilly opines.

Krauthammer, the sage of conservative thought, said Obama’s leadership style, “in effect, doesn’t exist.”  He brilliantly notes that Obama is a “bystander to his own presidency,” adding that he “acts as if he just stumbled upon the scene of an accident and he’s just catching up.”

“This is the strategy of leading from behind, which is simply a kind way of saying no leadership at all,” Krauthammer said.

He adds that since losing the House, Obama knows the “rest of his agenda will never advance,” and implies that the president is disengaged and “enjoying the presidency. He golfs a lot and he uses that airplane a lot.”
