Cruz tells Megyn Kelly Obama should call for lawless Holder‘s resignation

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Tex., appeared on “America Live” Wednesday and talked to the Fox News host Megyn Kelly about the growing evidence that Attorney General Eric Holder lied to Congress during his May 15 testimony.

When asked by Kelly whether the president should ask for Holders resignation, Cruz immediately responded, “Yes. Absolutely.”

The Tea Party-backed senator went on to cite Holder’s “willingness to disregard the law.” As proof he noted the “Fast and Furious” scandal, as well as the DOJ’s “unprecedented” media probes,

“Unfortunately, I think it’s part and parcel of a pattern from this administration of not respecting the Bill of Rights,” Cruz said. “Not respecting the First Amendment, not respecting the Second Amendment, not respecting our Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights regarding drone strikes, regarding the IRS.”

By disregarding Constitutional restraints, the administration has been using the power of the federal government as a “tool to punish” its enemies.

“Over and over again the pattern we have seen is unfortunate willingness to use the machinery of the federal government as a tool and a partisan tool to punish those perceived as your political enemies,” Cruz said.
