Sen. Cruz fires up base with call to abolish IRS

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz continues to generate enthusiasm among conservatives with his fearless and bold style of shaking up the status quo in Washington.

He set Twitter abuzz last week with two tweets calling for the abolishment of the Internal Revenue Service amidst the news of its egregious misconduct in targeting conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status.

Though the young senator has not said anything about a run for president in 2016, the Republican Party’s conservative base is excited about the prospect. In fact, Fox News recently reported Cruz’s eligibility to run for president as a natural-born citizen in what appears to be a preemptive strike against critics who question the fact he was born in Calgary.
