It didn’t take long. Two days after the testimony of the three State Department “whistleblowers” at the House Oversight Committee, Karl Rove’s group, American Crossroads, had a new ad out attacking the Obama administration handling and coverup of the affair.
The 90-second clip titled “Benghazi” lays blame for the coverup specifically at the feet of then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Democratic forerunner in a 2016 presidential bid.
Clips from Wednesday’s committee hearings are effectively played in counterpoint to Clinton’s own statements after the terrorist attack, “all under Hillary Clinton’s watch,” the narrator notes.
“What difference at this point does it make?” Clinton angrily asks during her own testimony before the committee.
“The difference id a coverup and four American lives that deserve the truth,” the narrator answers.
