For Sale: Gently used Air Force One, bidding opens soon

You too, could be flying around the country in your very own Air Force One. No campaign or election required. This one is for sale, up for auction, on the GSA Auctions website.

Actually, the description states that the DC-9 was part of Air Force Two and may have acted as Air Force One. According to BuzzFeed Politics:

“In the thirty years this aircraft was assigned to the 89th Airlift Wing (Feb 1975-Sep 2005) it flew Presidential missions, Vice President, First Lady, Cabinet Secretaries (Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, others), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, U.S. Senators, U.S. Representatives, Four-Star Generals, Admirals, Foreign Heads of State and other foreign dignitaries.”

Get your checkbook ready, a $50,000 deposit is required, and bidding starts on May 15. By the way, it comes with spare parts.
