Spank! Jay Leno advises Obama on how to close Gitmo

President Obama held a press conference on Tuesday which opened him up to criticism and grilling on a number of topics, including his campaign pledge to close the military prison at Guantanamo Bay.

Obama noted during the press conference that Guantanamo is “a problem that is not going to get better” and expressed his interest in finding a way to close it.

“I’m going to go back at this,” Obama said. “I’ve asked my team to review everything that’s currently being done in Guantanamo, everything that we can do administratively, and I’m going to reengage with Congress to try to make the case that this is not something that’s in the best interests of the American people.”

But on Tuesday night, NBC Tonight Show host Jay Leno had some advice on how to get it done.

President Obama held a press conference earlier today, and he said he still wants to close the Guantanamo Bay prison facility, but he doesn’t know how to do it. He should do what he always does: declare it a small business and tax it out of existence. It will be gone in a minute. Be gone in a minute! One month! Be out of there!
