U.S. Senator Ted Cruz made a surprise appearance at a FreedomWorks summit on Friday and shared how grassroots activists and the “new media” were able to beat GOP “squishes” — see U.S. Sen. John McCain — and Democrats on gun control.
The gun control issue is an example of good things happening when the American people engage with their elected officials on legislative matters, although, as Cruz notes in the video, this fight is not over yet.
