The next showdown to increase the debt ceiling could come as soon as next month, but pro-life groups are already targeting House Speaker John Boehner in his home district on the issue, according to Ben Swann of Fox19 in Cincinnati.
LifeCausePAC and Nomorewimpouts.com are attempting to fire up evangelicals and grassroots Republicans to get involved in the debt ceiling discussion. Swann found that the two groups are running 100 ads in Boehner’s Ohio congressional district for four weeks on Fox News.
The ads are calling on Boehner to stop funding to Planned Parenthood. But Politico reports that discretionary spending has already been cut considerably, and the next step will be to go after entitlements.
