Fla. exempt from Senate gun compromise in SNL’s hilarious version

Saturday Night Live’s” outstanding opening skit took aim and blasted the U.S. Senate’s bi-partisan compromise reached this week on gun control.

President Obama, portrayed by Jay Pharaoh, introduced the gun compromise bill’s authors, Sens. Joe Manchin (Jason Sudeikis) and Pat Toomey (Bill Hader).

“These men risked everything for this bill,” SNL’s Obama said. “I mean, Sen. Manchin represents West Virginia and he’s proposing gun reform? He’s gonna lose his job. And Sen. Toomey? This man is a Republican who is willing to make just the slightest compromise on gun control? He’s going to lose his job, too.”

Without giving the hilarious skit away if you haven’t seen it, let me just say Floridians are exempt from all the “new restrictions.”

The senators don’t know why Florida is exempt, but said the printed “bill” just didn’t have Florida listed!
