With Congress inching closer to a deal on immigration reform that would allow a path to citizenship, border crossings are on the rise.
Despite claims by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano that our borders have never been more secure, a recent report by Townhall’s Katie Pavlich shows that Border Patrol agents are seeing border crossings “double.”
“We’ve seen the number of illegal aliens double, maybe even triple since amnesty talk started happening,” an agent told Townhall.
And why not?
The Associated Press tells us to describe illegal immigrants as those “entering the country without legal permission,” or in layman’s terms, “undocumented Democrats,” and these folks have full faith and confidence in President Barack Obama.
A Texas rancher pinned the blame for the border crossings directly on talk of “amnesty” and a “path to citizenship” for people who entered America illegally, according to WOAI News.
In a report that underscores how those illegal crossings are growing, along with the number of people found dead in the unforgiving Texas brush country, the rancher spoke of one man who was arrested on her ranch not long ago.
“The Border Patrol agent was loading one man up, and he told the officer in Spanish, ‘Obama’s gonna let me go‘,” she said.
Border Patrol agents also told WOAI that some immigrants surrender to authorities and ask, “Where do I go for my amnesty?”
In effect, they’re making a mockery of the U.S. government and its people.
While the pinheads in Washington say any “path to citizenship” or any benefits under immigration reform will be limited to people who arrived in the United States before 2012, if they are “undocumented,” how can you prove when they arrived?
