Memorable touchdown run for 7-year old cancer patient

Little Jack Hoffman’s touchdown is bringing smiles to people all around the world today.

Hoffman, only 7-years old, was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer in 2011.

But little Hoffman ran for a 69-yard touchdown during yesterday’s Nebraska Cornhusker’s 2013 spring football scrimmage.

USA today reported on the friendship between Hoffman and Husker running back Rex Burkhead:

Jack met Nebraska running back Rex Burkhead last year and the two became friends. Rex was named captain of “Team Jack,” a support group made up of Jack’s friends and family, and when Jack scored his touchdown, he was wearing a miniature Rex jersey. Burkhead, who completed his senior season last fall, was elated after the game.
