President Barack Obama described House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as a lawmaker who “never lets ideology cloud her judgment.” That’s what I like about the president — he’s such a kidder.

The president, now in the fifth year of his campaign schedule, made a swing through the Golden State — a misnomer given California’s negative $127.2 billion net worth.

While appearing at two fundraising events in the San Francisco Bay area Wednesday night, he reiterated the things that are near and dear to him — comprehensive immigration reform (read “amnesty”), global warming (read higher energy costs and more crony capitalism) and gun control (He gets the guns, we get controlled).

San Francisco is noted as “Pelosi country,” and Obama didn’t forget. He saved his biggest Obamaisms for her.

“She is thoughtful, she’s visionary, she’s as tough as nails. She is practical.  She never lets ideology cloud her judgment,” Obama said according toThe Washington Examiner.

In response to this line, WeaselZippers noted, “What planet is he living on? She’s the biggest partisan hack in Congress.”

“Realistically, I could get a whole lot more done if Nancy Pelosi is Speaker of the House,” he added.

No doubt he could — things like that immigration reform, global warming and gun control he’s mentioned earlier.

“I know Nancy Pelosi,” Obama added. “I’ve seen her courage.  I know that she is willing to do the right thing, even when it’s not politically popular. And I want her once again as a fully empowered partner for us to be able to move our agenda forward.”
