Sen. Marco Rubio has joined with fellow Republican Sens. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee in sending a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid making it clear that they will oppose any further legislation against “the American people’s right to bear arms.”
The freshman senators warn Reid that they will oppose a motion to proceed on any gun control legislation.
“We will oppose the motion to proceed to any legislation that will serve as a vehicle for any additional gun restrictions,” the signed letter reads.
The four “young guns” — the average age in the U.S. Senate is 62 — are seen by many as the future of the GOP, and the continued sign of unity we see from them must be disturbing to the “old bulls.”
