Video: Black leaders on NRA’s origin, protecting slaves from KKK

All of the National Rifles Association’s critics should take note of the NRA’s roots.

A group of black conservatives gathered to express both their support for the NRA and their opposition to many of the gun control measures being proposed in Congress.

“The National Rifle Association was founded by white religious leaders who wanted to protect free slaves from the Ku Klux Klan,” said Harry C. Alford, CEO of the Black Chamber of Commerce.
