A Colorado lawmaker has taken the adage, “The pen is mightier than the sword” to heart. The question is, is it mightier than the Smith & Wesson?
Colorado State Senator Jessie Ulibarri told the Senate Judiciary Committee that there are alternatives to guns for self defense — like a bic — the pen, not the lighter.
In November, the voters of Colorado legalized marijuana. Three months later, Ulibarri remarked in committee that the proper response to an assault by an armed madman is a ballpoint pen.
Is this a mere coincidence? I think not.
