Thousands of global warming protesters gathered in the bitter cold on Washington’s National Mall Sunday, calling on President Obama to reject the controversial Keystone XL pipeline proposal and honor his inaugural pledge to act on climate change.
Of course, the cold weather Sunday beat the inopportune snowstorm and below-freezing temperatures that met the “warmers” in 2009.
The estimated 35,000 protesters on hand didn’t seem to mind that Obama skipped town and was hitting the links with Tiger Woods in sunny Florida. So much for having “some skin in the game.”
