Katelyn Francis, a 13-year-old from Missouri, is seen in the YouTube video below shooting a fully automatic ACR, Benelli 12-gauge M2 shotgun and a Smith and Wesson M&P 9-millimeter Pro handgun while participating in the Fallen Brethren 3Gun competition in Texas.
The video, taken in October, is getting a lot of attention, and Katelyn also has a Facebook page with nearly 19,100 likes.
She comments on the video:
“For those of you who say I need to find cover and try doing it with people shooting back… I am 13 and this is a competition. For those (few) of you who think I should be playing with barbies instead of guns and who think this type of sport will make me a bad person. I play on several sports teams at my school. I also make straight A’s.”
Her hard work and dedication has paid off, according to the Jefferson City (Mo.) News Tribune, which reported that several businesses now sponsor her, helping to pay for new guns, clothing, ammo, tournament fees, safety equipment and more.
