Allen West calls media out for ‘softball’ treatment of Obama

Former U.S. Rep. Allen West used a recent appearance on Fox News’ “On the Record” to call out the media for its soft treatment of President Obama. West’s comments came when host Greta Van Susteren’s asked his thoughts on Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson’s recent speech on taxes and health care.

“I think that we cannot continue to go on believing that all we can do is ask the president what his favorite color is and continue to have these softball interviews,” West said, adding later that “we have to start standing up and challenging the president.”
