Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Ralph Reed returns to Wellington

Conservative political strategist Ralph Reed visited South Florida last February and addressed the Palms West Republican Club to kick off the 2012 election season. He also oversaw the launch of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Faith and Freedom Coalition which played a crucial role in getting out the conservative Christian vote in the county.

The FFC has had tremendous success turning out the Christian vote across the country the past four years. Some statistics from the 2012 election cycle, according to FFC’s website: “FFC makes over 122 million voter contacts to evangelicals, faithful Catholics, and other voters of faith in key states during the 2012 election season: 23 million pieces of voter education mail, 21 million Get-Out-The-Vote calls, 18 million SMS text and email messages, 30 million voter guides distributed in 117,000 churches, 250,000 door knocks and volunteer Get-Out-The-Vote calls, 5,800 radio ads in seven states, 300,000 Congressional Scorecards distributed and 1.977 million unregistered voters contacted.”

Ralph Reed was senior advisor to the Bush-Cheney campaigns in both 2000 and 2004, and chairman of the Southeast Region for BC04. As chairman of the Georgia Republican Party he led the GOP to its biggest victory in history, helping to elect the first Republican Governor and third U.S. Senator since Reconstruction. Reed is chairman and CEO of Century Strategies, LLC, a public relations and public affairs firm. As executive director of the Christian Coalition from 1989-1997, he built one of the most effective public policy organizations in recent political history. He is the best-selling author and editor of five books, including his latest novel, The Confirmation. He is married to his wife, Jo Anne, and is the father of their four children.
