Brian Stelter, writing for The New York Times, disclosed a tidbit of Gore’s liberal hypocrisy with respect to the sale of Current TV to Al Jazeera: “Gore and his partners were eager to complete the deal by Dec. 31, lest it be subject to higher tax rates that took effect on Jan. 1.”
When he appeared last November on Reuters TV “Impact Players with Robert Wolf,” Wolf asked Gore about the course to follow in avoiding the fiscal cliff.
“The single most popular proposal we had was to reduce taxes on working people, and lift the higher rate. Let’s give an incentive to work, and let’s ask the most fortunate in our society, including me and you, to do our fair share. And we ought to do that again.”
