Harry Belefonte to Obama: Work like a ‘third world dictator’, jail entitlement reformers

Once again singer Harry Belafonte is turning heads with outrageous liberal comments. While speaking about entitlements on Al Sharpton’s Politics Nation on MSNBC, Belefonte charged that “corrupt people” are trying to dismantle entitlements – against the wishes of the people.

Sharpton noted that Belefonte has been an activist leader for decades on behalf of entitlements such as Medicare, Medicaid and social security, which he said faces possible cuts to balance the budget. “How do you view this and what is the challenge to those who are on the field today?” asked Sharpton.

Belefonte said he was attracted to the process by watching the “maturity of the American people.”

“There was great question as to whether Barack would even be elected,” Belefonte said. He suggested that a “lingering infestation of really corrupt people” were trying to dismantle the wishes of the people and the “mandate that has been given to Barack Obama.”

“The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is work like a third world dictator and just put all these guys in jail,” he concluded.

The more I hear the "enlightened" words coming from Hollywood and elsewhere attempting to justify the train-wreck of an administration and policy that the Obama administration are GUILTY of, the more disappointed I am with them for their gross stupidity, inane commentary and uninformed thinking.

Add Harry to the now long list of formerly respectable entertainers I have come to be exceedingly disappointed with, even James Taylor, who's music I love!

Someone tell Harry that, unless he is looking at the Electoral College votes, a 2% lead among the POPULAR vote is anything but a "mandate", I guess the truly amazing thing is that he only won by such a slim margin despite having stolen the election with their shenanigans at the polls around the country.

I am so danged sick of these people and the crap they are saying… They are the biggest racist I have ever heard, Jamie foxx, harry, Al Sharpton, Chris Rock and the others who spout hatred for other races but complain if some one says anything they dont like. They are trying to start a race war and that is wrong, but they wont shut up untill it happens, GOD BLESS

AMERICA and help us stop this Racisim.

Be very careful what you wish for Harry and Al Sharpton. You just might get it in ways that you cannot even imagine. Dictators do not last long in many places, especially in a nation in which just the armed hunters comprise a larger Army than most in the world and that does not include the armed citizens who do not hunt, animals. We will not entertain a dictator for very long, nor his supporters.

No surprise here. Harry "The Banana Boat Song" Belafonte has spewed pure communist garbage for years and gotten away with it. Now you see Progressives as they really are: Demanding a totaliarian authority for the federal government complete with the "thought police" to ensure no disagreement.

I really would like to know where these liberal idiots got the idea that Medicare and Social Security is an "entitlement"?!?!? We paid into both of those for years….at least the ones of us that weren't too lazy to get out and work for a living did!

  7. john says:

You people that watch this forum of such idiots and have such ridiculous notions, well just keep your third world ideas and thats where YOU will end up! You people are so racist you ALL make the KKK look like saints.Put, and I mean"PUT" your stupidity, well you know where.

  8. Big Dem says:

Poor John. Unable to formulate a cogent argument, he has to resort to the tired, old, baseless insult of "racism." If John had a memory he would recall that it was a Republican, George Bush, who chose the first black Secretary of State, and when he stepped down Bush replaced him with the first black female Secretary of State. And it was his Liberal/Progressives who taunted this fine woman with terms like "house n—–." I could care less about Mr. Belefonte's skin color; it is his love for communism that fuels my disagreement with him. It would appear, Mr. John, that you are the racist here.
