On MSNBC’s “NOW with Alex Wagner,” NBC News reporter Ayman Mohyeldin took a strong — some would say extremist — position on problems in the Middle East.
He blamed the unresolved Israeli – Gaza crisis on the United States’ refusal to recognize Hamas and for not doing enough to “reign in” Israel’s military actions.
I have one question for Mohyeldin. Are we talking about the same Hamas?
Would this be the Hamas that killed six “Israeli sympathizers” and dragged the body of one through the streets of Gaza?
Would this be the same Hamas that has been continuously raining rockets upon Tel Aviv and Jerusalem without a care as to where they may strike?
Would this be the same Hamas that, after bombing a busload of innocent non-combatants while negotiating a cease-fire agreement, celebrated by gleefully firing volleys of shots in the air?
If we are talking about the same Hamas, I’ll stick with Israel.
