Response to secession petitions: ‘Strip them of citizenship, peacefully deport’

Texas Should SecedeOn Monday, BizPac Review reported that petitioners from 20 states, including Florida, had petitioned the federal government to secede from the union. According to The Daily Caller, that number has since increased to 675,000 signatures from all 50 states.

In response, another petition has arrived at the White House asking that citizenship rights be stripped from all persons who signed a secession petitions. This petition also asks that the secessionists be exiled, but offers no suggestions as to where.

The petition reads, “Mr. President, please sign an executive order such that each American citizen who signed a petition from any state to secede from the USA shall have their citizenship stripped and be peacefully deported.”

According to the Weekly Standard, as of 1:54 p.m. on Tuesday, “2,205 have signed the petition [asking that secessionists be deported]; 22,795 more signatures are needed for the issue to be addressed by the White House.”

Although the far left apparently sees nothing wrong in asking that American citizens be deported, it continues to demand amnesty for those who arrive here illegally. Arizona is one of the battleground states on this issue, and Arizona’s ever-defiant Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been a spearhead in that battle.

After Arpaio won re-election last week, he told Breitbart News “that he has a message for President Barack Obama: granting amnesty to illegal immigrants is unfair to legal immigrants.”

The Breitbart article continues:

And Arpaio would like to discuss amnesty — along with border security issues — with Obama “man to man” directly at the White House. He would also like to reach out to Hispanic groups he said have misunderstood his intentions and bought into the negative “propaganda” about him

Reflecting on such a meeting, Arpaio told Breitbart News, “I wish the president would invite me to the White House. We’ll have some wine and beer, and light up cigars.”

The article continues:

When it comes to potential amnesty provisions being discussed in Washington, Arpaio said he is against amnesty because, to him, it is a fairness issue the elite media and career politicians in Washington do not understand.

Taken together, I suppose this makes the far left’s message to America as follows: kick legal Americans out to make more room for illegals.
