David Petraeus’ five degrees of separation from Sen. John Kerry

Forget “six degrees of separation” from Kevin Bacon. In the sex scandal of the new millennium, we have five degrees of separation from Gen. David Petraeus to U.S. Sen. John Kerry, who is rumored to be on the short list as the next U.S. secretary of defense. Oh, boy. Jackie Collins couldn’t have written a more twisted storyline.

Start counting: Petraeus had an affair with Paula Broadwell (1), who sent “don’t touch my man” emails to Jill Kelly (2), whose crazy twin sister, Natalie Khawam (3), dated attorney Gerry Harrington (4), a Democratic fundraiser who knows Kerry (5).

A  report in the New York Post makes the connection.

Khawam claimed in a July 12 letter to her estranged husband that she took their now 4-year-old son “on vacation last year to Martha Vineyard,” where their son and “I had a great time at the DSCC [Democratic Senate Campaign Committee] event.”

Sen. John Kerry asked if [her son] would be coming again this year,” Khawam wrote. “[Their son] was a superstar at the DSCC last year.
