Pam Bondi & Marco Rubio praise Obama over new executive order

The Earth’s axis is apparently shifting, the tides are reversing and we are now entering into a new time-space continuum.

Yesterday we reported that former Democratic President Bill Clinton praised GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney for the second time during this campaign season.

Today Sunshine State News reported that Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and Florida’s freshman U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, both Republicans, are praising Democratic President Barack Obama. Not only that, their support revolves around a, executive order the president signed yesterday.

Obama has come under criticism for his overreach through executive orders. But this one concerns something near and dear to both Bondi and Rubio — the human sex trade.

Bondi asked for a state law at the last session to increase trafficking penalties. She said:

“Stopping human trafficking requires efforts at every level of government, and I am pleased that President Obama has issued an executive order that prohibits human trafficking in federal government contracting.”

Rubio attempted to pass legislation at the federal level earlier this year on the subject, the End Trafficking in Government Contracting Act. After the president signed his order, Rubio stated in a press release:

“I commend President Obama for using his platform in New York today to highlight the tragedy of modern-day slavery through human trafficking. Today’s executive order is a welcome step to fight unknowingly U.S. taxpayer-funded human trafficking in government contracts.”
