To give you a glimpse of the love letters I often get from those who may take exception to some of my posts, I offer you the following, which was sent to me today. Not sure how this conservative Catholic got to be called “Jack the Jew,” but I’ll take my accolades in any form my readers wish to offer them.

I’ve decided to do this guy a favor by not including his name.

But since it’s important to document everything these days, I decided to publish my First Communion picture, not to prove my Catholicism to anyone, but to illustrate that I am even more adorable now than I was then.

Please forgive this reader the excessive grammatical errors. I am reprinting the emailed letter verbatim.
