The number and gravity of disconnects between objective reality and liberal dogma are increasing exponentially. It is the difference between truth based on logic and the scientific method on the one hand and mythology and vapid political correctness on the other.
It is nothing less than modern witchcraft!

What is it like to be a real doctor amongst a coven of witch doctors? Real doctors deduce logical conclusions from objective data. Witch doctors screech in unison like imps and banshees believing the more often and louder they repeat their pallid screeds and mantras somehow will make them right. Real doctors cure patients with modern drugs whilst witch doctors shriek pagan incantations, bring out leeches, bleed the patient like medieval barbers and administer arsenic to bring the humours into balance.
As we begin the second decade of the twenty-first century, a veritable cornucopia of marvels, courtesy of science, capitalism and entrepreneurs, confronts us. Space travel is commonplace; medicine routinely performs miracles; and, personal electronics are mind boggling.
Technology continues to improve in quantum leaps. Every measure of human well-being is the best it has ever been and continues to improve. By every objective measure, the environment is the best it has been in 50-75 years and it also continues to improve.
Breathtaking progress has been made socially just in my lifetime. The status of women, minorities, gays, lesbians, even animals, has been elevated and virtually all vestiges of discrimination eliminated. Genuine material poverty in the USA has been reduced to no more than 2%-3% of the population and is tied nearly exclusively to the presence of social pathologies. Food is so cheap the age old dichotomy between rich and poor is reversed; the poor are corpulent while the rich are gaunt.
Thanks to the real doctors, we inhabit a world of scientific, technical, social and entrepreneurial marvels. Everything is the best it ever has been and, per the Beatles, is getting better all the time. Amidst this miraculous horn of plenty there is but one uber-serious, foreboding dark cloud that imminently threatens to stop all progress and even to undo many of the aforementioned miracles. This malevolent force already is close to bringing the planet to economic collapse.
I refer, of course, to metastasizing liberalism, to government and to that monster known as the public sector and to its miscegenistic stepchildren: political correctness, disdain for truth and liberty and the endless sea of banalities and inanities, interspersed with downright lies, it has spawned and midwifed.

Government deceives by masquerading with different faces and by using euphonic names such as, inter alia, moral equivalence, internationalism, fairness, unionism, environmentalism and class equality. Call it what you like; it is nothing less than twenty-first century witchcraft. This would be but an historical curiosity were it not that the witch doctors have driven out the real doctors and now are in charge of the hospital. All of us are the patients and we are being bled and given arsenic while enduring the pallid screeds and mantras of the witch doctors.

So what, you may be thinking; it’s just normal California craziness run amok. However, UC San Diego already has all of the following positions. Folks – I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried.
