Editor’s Note – When the AFL-CIO’s leader Richard Trumpka of all people weighs in on the Arizona tragedy and starts pushing the line for civil discourse, you can be 100% certain that the marching orders have come down from above.
The Progressive Left see a clear and present opportunity to silence the tea party and, as we saw with healthcare reform, the truth stands little chance against the corruption and dishonesty that now reaches unprecedented levels.
So now, in spite of the unthinkable suffering the victims are going thru, the far left will shove this story line down our throats with the able assistance of the media in this country, just as they did with healthcare reform and so many other pieces of legislation over the past two years.
As for heightened rhetoric, try this on for size; America is under seige by the far left, which is more powerful today than at any other time in our lifetime and if left unchecked, it has the very real potential to destroy man’s last best hope on earth.
And just as with any conflict, truth is the first casualty.
Do as I say, not as I do AFL-CIO Boss urges to “tone down violent political speech”
Intellectual dishonesty. Other than, perhaps, sheer hypocrisy, there just doesn’t seem to be any other term that describes the Left’s behavior in the aftermath of Saturday’s massacre in Tucson.
On Monday, AFL-CIO boss Richard Trumka weighed in, stating in a post on the AFL-CIO blog:
We must find ways to passionately debate and even disagree with each other without using words that can give unstable individuals an incitement to engage in violent acts.
