'We The People' To Open Next Congress

One has to wonder when was the last time the U.S. Constitution has been read on the floor of the House?

Along with the proposed rule change requiring lawmakers to provide constitutional authority for every bill, we can only hope that this sudden emphasis by the GOP on the Constitution is more than just window dressing.

After the past two years, what an incredible difference we’re seeing already, though! Constitution? Are you serious?

VIDEO- Airline Pilot: “The [TSA] Message Was, ‘You’ve Angered Us By Telling The Truth.’”

The YouTube videos, posted Nov. 28, show what the pilot calls the irony of flight crews being forced to go through TSA screening while ground crew who service the aircraft are able to access secure areas simply by swiping a card.

“As you can see, airport security is kind of a farce. It’s only smoke and mirrors so you people believe there is actually something going on here,” the pilot narrates.

Congressional Cowboy Hat Caucus

Step aside Nancy and Barney – lurid loudmouth Alan Grayson (D-FL) may be history, but here comes a flamboyant 68 year-old grandmother dressed in rodeo gear who, when it comes to the fine art of bonnet acquisition, puts the Duchess of Cornwall to shame.

Congressperson-elect Frederica S. Wilson is headed toward Washington DC, ready to fill Kendrick Meek’s vacated Florida District 17 Congressional seat and bound to become the talk of the town.

The Last Straw; Big Labor, Labor Relations Board Can Go To Hell

To the NRLB: go to hell.

You can come to my workplace and post the notice, if you’re so hell-bent on doing the bidding of Rich Trumka (President of the AFL-CIO ). I’ll be glad to meet you at the door.

Given that your former counsel, Craig Becker, is now on the NRLB, I know what is really going on. You’re not looking out for entrepreneurs and don’t care much for the free-market system, you’re rather help Rich and the gang of thugs grow their dues they strong-arm from hard-working Americans.

3 Things To Wish For In 2011…And A Few More

By Ron McCoy

As 2010 winds down, I am excited about the way people in this country spoke up and voiced their opinion this fall during the fall elections.

On the other hand, I am saddened by what I see is a lack of understanding from the current administration as to the root of Americas’ problems. It seems the current administration has no idea of what the people want but rather a clear agenda of what they think is best for us.

As the lame duck session just proved, they still do not listen.

Census: Fast Growth in States With No Income Tax

Actually, this plays into the old states rights adage that people will vote with their feet, meaning they will relocate to more friendly environs when their current state becomes too burdensome.

This also reinforces the idea that excessive taxation smothers free enterprise and diminishes growth. Could it be that we troublesome conservatives are actually right in our economic theories? Perish the thought!

2012; Inappropriate Possibilities On The Road Less Traveled

This nation was founded on a healthy distrust of government, rightfully so. The key difference between Europe and America is in Europe, the people are servants of the government, here, the people are masters over the government.

It was Thomas Jefferson who said, “The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.”

FL Grew 17 Percent In Decade, Gets Two New Seats In Congress

Even with the boom slowing, Florida still grew 17 percent in the last decade and will gain additional congressional clout, getting two more seats in Congress, Census officials announced Tuesday.

Now slated to hold 27 seats in the 435 member House, Florida continues a trend that began in 1930 by gaining at least one congressional seat during each of the past nine decennial redistributions of political power in a nation that continued to grow to the west and south.
