Social Conservative Leaders Unite Behind Gruters
SARASOTA, FL – Just over two weeks ago, Joe Gruters entered the race for Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. Today, Joe Gruters announces the endorsements of several Florida social conservative leaders.
“It is essential that we elect a leader like Joe Gruters to head the RPOF,” said former State Representative Kurt Kelly, who also serves as Vice President of the Eagle Forum of Sun Country. “Our Party needs a bright, young, conservative leader.”
Pat Neal, former Chairman of the Christian Coalition of Florida stated, “Gruters’ abilities to raise funds, communicate to voters, as well as expand and excite our base are desperately needed in Tallahassee.”
“I support Joe Gruters for RPOF Chairman. As a member of the Florida Right to Life Board and Executive Committee over the past five years, Joe has provided invaluable input and worked diligently to promote our cause,” explained Carrie Eisnaugle, President of the Florida Right to Life.
“Joe has done an extraordinary job as Chairman of the Sarasota Republican Party, with some of the best results in the State. He is gifted to be able to effectively pull together and work with a wide cross-section of different ideological groups that have similar Republican core values,” said Rita Cunningham, Co-Chairman of the Christian Coalition of Sarasota.
Manatee-Sarasota Right to Life President Jim Styer stated, “For many years, well before he rose to the top spot in the county GOP, I have personally known Joe Gruters as a very strong supporter of conservative values on social issues, and an active supporter and participant in pro-life endeavors in the Sarasota area.”
Joe Gruters is the Chairman of the Republican Party of Sarasota (RPOS). Traditionally, Sarasota County is a “swing county” where Republicans struggled in the 2006 and 2008 cycles. As Chairman, Joe used his 17 years of experience raising millions of dollars and managing campaigns to improve the RPOS. As a result, Republicans were victorious in every single race in Sarasota County. Additionally, RPOS was the top performer in the state in turnout, GOTV efforts, absentee ballot returns, volunteer coordination, and new media outreach.
An accountant by trade, Joe Gruters pledges to institute fiscal controls within the Republican Party of Florida. As RPOF Chairman, Joe will focus on fundraising, communications, and ensure that each and every county in the state is equipped with the proper training and tools to build a permanent majority.
