Pelosi Rejects Obama's Tax Compromise

pelosi01Editor’s Note – Nancy Pelosi is flexing her muscle one last time before stepping off her throne and oozing back into irrelevancy.

This time, she is challenging Barack Obama, proving that the Progressive Left control the Democrat Party and Obama is little more than a figurehead.  Many people question Obama’s moxy, rightfully so, and this challenge will certainly not help his cause.

As for the Democrat Party, the party of JFK and is dead.  The only question that remains is how long will it take before the term ‘Socialist’ is added to the title, as in Democrat Socialist Party, or Progressive Socialist Party.

And, just as the millions of Muslims who stand silent while extremists terrorize the world, and hundreds of thousands of union members quietly look the other way while the Communist influence grows in their ranks, those Americans who find themselves in the unfortunate position to be labeled a Democrat who stand idly by are just as complicit in the destructive actions taken against this country by their ‘leadership’.

House Democrats Reject Tax Plan Unless Changed

Associated Press

House Democrats voted Thursday to reject President Barack Obama’s tax deal with Republicans in its current form, but it was unclear how significantly the package might need to be changed.

By voice vote in a closed caucus meeting, Democrats passed a resolution saying the tax package should not come to the House floor for consideration as written, even though no formal House bill has been drafted. Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., introduced the resolution.

Said Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas: “If it’s take it or leave it, we’ll leave it.”

The vote will at least temporarily stall what had seemed to be a grudging Democratic movement toward the tax package.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement that House Democrats share Obama’s “commitment to providing the middle class with a tax cut to grow the economy and create jobs.” She noted that a House-passed bill, which Republicans blocked in the Senate, did not include “a bonus tax cut to millionaires and billionaires.”
