This Thanksgiving story is right out of my second bo, See, I Told You So, and we do this in the last half hour of every show on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving.
It is so at odds with what all of us were taught in school.

Most Americans know about the first Thanksgiving in autumn 1621 between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians to celebrate the initial harvest in the new land. It truly is a feel-good story of peaceful, multi-cultural celebration and is de rigeur pedagogy in schools and churches. Indeed, it is a comfortable shibboleth insofar as it goes; but it is not the whole story.
“The first Thanksgiving was very nearly the last.”

Mack: Enhanced TSA Security Screenings Go Too Far
WASHINGTON – Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14) today called the enhanced pat-downs performed by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents an invasion of Americans’ privacy rights, and called on TSA to cease them immediately so Congress can review airport screening policies.
But don’t think it stops here, this is just the beginning!
The National Legal and Policy Center some years ago examined slave reparations activism and found one proponent calling for the federal government “to pay $500,000 to every slave descendant,” which would total “ than $15 trillion and require a surtax of roughly $50,000 on each non-African American man, woman and child in this country.
And you think we have a debt problem now???
Now here’s some news conservatives can feel good about.
The Congressman from Iowa is as intelligent as any Ivy Leaguer, has a tireless work ethic forged in the heartland of America and brings a down to earth, common sense approach to legislating.
Want to solve the illegal immigration problem in America? Put Congressman King in charge of the issue and get out of his way!
You’ve heard of the “no-fly” list.
Now get a load of the no-grope list — a roster of the privileged federal officials and politicians who don’t have to be subjected to TSA’s grabby hands.
Lucky them, huh?

Simply one of the best ‘Tribute’s to our Soldiers’ that I have seen!
How would you like to be the individual responsible for creating the ads for Grayson’s campaign and have TWO of your efforts make the Top 10 Worst Campaign ads, including the number one spot?
In a tough economy, I can just imagine that the job offers are probably not rolling in right now for this poor soul!
That’s assuming that the usional soon-to-be former Congressman has reached the point where he’s willing to lay the blame where it belongs.
For some people it is not a big deal and I just hope they realize many of us have valid reasons and concerns about the whole process.
As for me and my family, we decided to travel through rural Georgia and enjoy the scenery and forgo our 5 round trip tickets. If you are traveling on 441, honk if you see us. How will you recognize us? We will be in a white mini-van that says ‘TSA sucks’. You may also hear a few kids fighting if you drive by slow enough.
“Anyone who is trying to kill it is hurting all of Florida.”
I’m real curious if Dockery used that when addressing a gathering of tea party groups in Tallahassee last week.
For those of you who are “hurting all of Florida” by actively opposing high speed rail, it may serve your dastardly deed to let Rick Scott know your thoughts on the next DOT Secretary. It certainly won’t advance your cause having an individual so committed to the project in that role.
Sixty-six percent (66%) of voters nationwide favor a proposal to cut the federal payroll by 10% over the coming decade. A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey found that just 22% are opposed and 12% are not sure.
Earlier surveys found that 46% believe government employees make money than comparable workers in the private sector.
