ORLANDO —Â When it comes to being smart, apparently Orlando isn’t making the grade.
In its new ranking of America’s smartest and dumbest cities, The Daily Beast ranked Orlando 50th out of the top 55 metro areas in the country.
The ranking looked at the areas education and intellectual environment, like non-fiction book sales.
So how did Orlando do? With an area population of well over three million, only 17 percent have bachelor’s degrees, while only eight percent have graduate degrees. Year-to-date adult nonfiction book sales totaled just over two million.
Orlando ranked 46 in 2009.
