NAACP Living In The Past, Continues Attack On Tea Party

The NAACP has press conferences scheduled in 15 states this morning to issue a new report on alleged extremism within the Tea Party, and a preview of the report points to Orlando as one of the biggest Tea Party cities in the country, according to WDBO reporter Drew Petrimouix.

“What do you mean take your country back?” asked Orange County NAACP President the Rev. Randolph Bracy.

He says slogans such as that are code for a return to Jim Crow laws.

“How many black people do you see at these parties?” asked Bracy. “The vast majority of enlightened people of color see this movement as racist.”

He says the Tea Party hasn’t done enough to refute what he calls racist elements within the movement.

OPP co-founder and Orlando Tea Party leader Jason Hoyt sees it differently, “It’s a moment of desperation.”

Hoyt says he believes the issue of race is being used for political purposes in the run up to the election, but the NAACP says it will highlight Tea Party connections to white supremacists, anti-immigrant organizations and birthers during the press conferences set for this morning.

So, here we go again – the far left continuing to beat out the same ‘ol song on the same tired drum, holding true to the theory that if you say it long enough and loud enough, at some point it becomes true.  This is Saul Alinksy’s  ‘Rules for Radical’s’ at it’s best;

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

And, in the process, the NAACP is ignoring months of surveys, study’s and testaments that have been entered into the public record since the initial press conference was held by the organization that have thoroughly debunked this idea that the tea party movement is motivated by racial issues.

OPP had one such study posted just this past weekend, regarding signs at tea party rallies.

Also being ignored are a multitude of black leaders from across the country that have stepped forward, including Frantz Kebreau, national director of the National Association for the Advancement of Conservative People of Color (NAACPC), who resides right here in Central Florida, who have denounced this charge.

Are there racists within the movement?  Absolutely, just as there are in every facet of our society.  Although, recent surveys suggest racism is represented in a lesser degree within the tea party than it is in society, at large.  Are these racists part of the overall leadership that directs the movement?  Absolutely not, of which I speak from personal experience.

As for code words, apparently I haven’t received my decoder ring yet.  What a ridiculous charge!  I suggest that if a survey were taken, most Americans could not explain what ‘Jim Crow’ laws are, let alone return to such draconian measures.

It is clear that the NAACP is living in the past, incapable of seeing society through any prism other than color.  A true disservice to all African Americans, yet, not surprising.  If America ever reaches a point of complete racial harmony, groups such as the NAACP are no longer needed, therefore, self preservation alone necessitates that there be disharmony.

Hoyt is correct in that the timing of this second press conference is no coincident.  This is a politically motivated play, perhaps the last play the Democrats have, to avoid a complete disaster on November 2nd.  Desperate times call for desperate measures.

While it is unfortunate that there are some extremist elements in the tea party, it does not compare to the extremism on the far left – better known as Communists and Marxists.  Extremists that were predominantly represented at the far left rally on the Mall in Washington, D.C. just a few weeks ago.

I do suggest that if the NAACP is serious about identifying racism in America, that it look no further than Eric Holder’s Department of Justice.

Fortunately, we have just two more weeks to endure this nonsense, and we can get on with the business of taking back America.  Which is code for restoring a fiscally responsible government, limited in size, that respects the will of the people and promotes free market solutions.  A government that believes in American ‘exceptionalism’, the principles of self reliance and the entrepreneurial spirit.
